Claude Madison Moore was born on November 17, 1951, to Mr. Isiah Moore and Mrs. Reatha Moore in Bastrop, Texas. He lived a full life until his passing.
He went overseas to Guam during the Vietnam War. While in the military he received many letters of appreciation. He was stationed at Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin, Texas. Upon his honorable discharge he started his career as a truck driver. He drove 18 wheelers for 9 years and became a ember of the teamsters. He left truck driving to start his next endeavor as a City of Austin employee. Where he worked for over 20 years and received many accolades.
He was a dedicated dad, grandfather, great grandfather, son, and friend. He instilled in his grandchildren to respect others, persevere through challenges and always put family first. He left a legacy of joy, love, and infectious generosity. He was a multi-faceted man, one of a kind, and comfortable in his own skin as only someone true to themselves are. He was respected for his strong work and family ethics, that love that was hidden behind that gruff exterior. He leaves behind memories that will forever resonate within our hearts. The laughter shared over jokes but most of all the lessons learned though love rather than words alone. As much as Claude loved his family, he knew to be absent of body is to be present with the Lord. So, August 9, 2025 he prepared himself for his new life in glory.
He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth Moore and his sister, Barbara Gooding.
Family Tribute
We loved you, but God loved you more. We will cherish the wonderful memories we have.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
