George was born October 6, 1939 to George J. Ginder and Esther Kelber Ginder in Blue Island, Illinois. He went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at the age of 86. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Sandra Dowlearn Ginder; children, Gayle C. Bergstrand (Scott), Alan B. Ginder, James C. Williams (Susan) and Michele Williams Schmid (Jorg); grandchildren Brittany Krushlucki (Brock), Andrew Bergstrand (Sara), Nick Gjertsen, Jake Williams, Jago Schmid, Lodei Schmid, Solen Schmid & Anoki Schmid; great grandchildren Maverick Krushlucki, Draiden and River Gjertsen; brother Robert Ginder (Sophia).
George was a life long educator serving as a teacher, Principal and Superintendent in Illinois, Arizona, Texas and Indiana. His true passion was teaching and preaching the Word of God. He was able to serve his Lord in various ministries in churches, prisons, outreach ministries, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and during his time as the Southern Area Lay Evangelist for the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA) in Arizona. He also loved working with his hands by building furniture, doing many work projects around his home and restoring old cars and tractors.
A Celebration of Life for George will be held Friday, January 23, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, 2079 Hwy 71 E, Bastrop, TX 78602.
