Kim Kathleen (Kelly) Madere, affectionately known as “Nammy,” passed away on January 19, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever resonate within the hearts of those who knew her. Born on August 30, 1963, in La Grange, Texas, Kim lived a life filled with joy, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to family.
After dedicating 30 years to a successful career in banking, Kim retired in 2013, a decision that allowed her to fully embrace her true passion—her family. Nothing brought her more happiness than the moments spent with her beloved grandchildren, where laughter echoed and bonds were strengthened. It was on the family ranch in West Point, TX, where Kim fostered cherished memories, cooking up traditional dishes that made her home the heart of family gatherings. Her mastery of Cajun cuisine, particularly her famous étouffée and gumbo, was a testament to her love, drawing everyone together around the table.
Kim's loving spirit was a source of strength for her family, acting as the moral, spiritual, and social glue that held them together. She adored playing cards and dominoes, often engaging in friendly competitions that filled the spaces of their lives with joy and connection. Each moment spent in her presence was a reminder of her compassionate nature and her ability to make even the simplest of times feel special.
She is survived by her loving husband, Duane Madere; her daughters, Chimme’ Hall and Megan Madere; and her cherished grandchildren, Madison Schuchert, Max Hall, Sawyer Hall, Joelle Meck, Callie Madere, and Liliann Hall. She is also survived by her brothers, William Kelly and Patrick Kelly, who will carry her memory forward in their hearts.
Kim joins her beloved parents, William Henry Kelly and Anita Mariea Kelly, in eternal peace. Their love and guidance molded her into the remarkable woman she became, and their spirits will forever watch over her family.
