Manuel Lopez Torrez

Manuel Lopez Torrez, 81, of Raymondville, Texas, passed from this life into eternal life on February 4, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Torrez and Raquel Lopez Torrez; his beloved wife, Carmel Torrez; his cherished granddaughter, Nicole Ronning; and his precious furry companion, Duke.

Manuel is survived by his children: Stella Torrez and Amadeo Martinez of Bastrop, Texas; Tina and Jim Ronning of Owensboro, Kentucky; Christy and Arturo Guzman of Owensboro, Kentucky; and Samuel and Danielle Torrez of Ridgway, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.

Manuel worked for many years in the construction industry across the United States, where he built lasting connections and friendships. He was a hardworking and active man who was always finding a new project to take on. Manuel enjoyed his retirement years traveling and spending time with his family. Above all, Manuel and Carmel raised their family with strong values and a deep faith.

Manuel will be greatly missed, but his love, work ethic, and devotion to family will live on through those he leaves behind.

Services will be held at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. He will later be laid to rest beside his loving wife in Resurrection Cemetery in Owensboro, Kentucky.
