Mary Ann Horton

Mary Ann Horton, 75, of Kempner Texas, passed away on May 24 ^th , 2021 in Red Rock, Texas.

Mary Ann was born in Weimar, Texas to Vaclav A. and Mary Herzik on September 2 ^nd , 1945. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy Austin, Texas and attended a business school. She married John Charles Horton on June 22 ^nd , 1968 in Austin, Texas.

She worked as a housewife for 50 years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, decorating, and woodworking.

Mary Ann is survived by her son: John Douglas Horton, Brother: Johnny Herzik, Grandchildren: Brandy Horton, Ashley and husband Ron Cruz, Megan and husband Jason Keel, Jacob Benjamin Horton, and Jayden Luke Horton, Great Grandchildren: Nathaniel Keel, Lynnex Cruz, Zoë Keel, and Vaughan Cruz.

Mary Ann is preceded by death by Husband: John Charles Horton, Brother: James Herzik, Parents: Vaclav A. and Mary Herzik.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, June 2 ^nd , 2021 from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held immediately after on Wednesday, June 2 ^nd , 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Bastrop Providence, 2079 Hwy 71 E, Bastrop, Texas. Burial will be the following day at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 3 ^rd at the Kempner Cemetery 1300-1498 Co Rd 3300, Kempner, Texas beside husband John Charles Horton.
