Matthew Edward Luna

Matthew Edward Luna, born on July 30, 1986, left this world too soon on September 3, 2025. He was 39 years old and is remembered as a talented individual whose kind and respectful nature touched the lives of many. Matthew was a devoted protector of his loved ones, always standing as a pillar of support and strength for his family and friends.

Matthew's life was colored by his passions; he had a deep love for music that resonated in every moment he shared with others. He enjoyed sports, embracing the excitement and camaraderie they brought, and cherished the tranquil joy of horseback riding that connected him to the beauty of nature.

His loving spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives of his cherished daughters, Lilliana Luna and Malia Luna, and his son, Matthias Luna. Matthew was a beloved son of Stella Luna, who raised him with warmth and love. He leaves behind a close-knit family of brothers, including Frank Luna, Alex Luna, Emilio Luna, Andrew Luna, and Phillip Luna, and sisters Jennifer Luna-Gonzales and Connie Gonzales. Each of these individuals held a special place in his heart, and their bonds were woven with laughter, support, and love.

Matthew has been preceded in death by his father, John Luna Sr., along with his brothers John Luna Jr. and Steve Luna. Their memories remain cherished as he joins them in eternal peace.

For those who would like to celebrate Matthew's life and share in the comfort of togetherness, a visitation will be held at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home in Bastrop, Texas, on September 11, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location on September 12, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM and concluding at 10:30 AM.

Matthew Edward Luna's light has been dimmed but will never be forgotten. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to know him. May he rest in peace.
