Mayra Elizabeth Ramirez, born on July 17, 1963, in Guatemala, was a remarkable woman whose life was dedicated to her family, her faith, and her community. She passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, in Dale, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love and strength that will be cherished by all who knew her.

For over a decade, Mayra made a profound impact in the field of healthcare, working as a food and nutrition aide at Seton Hospital before becoming a CNA at Brodie Ranch Rehabilitation Center. Throughout her career, she fostered countless friendships and was known for her kind heart and gentle spirit.

Mayra’s passion for cooking was matched only by her love for music. Those who gathered around her table would fondly recall her delicious meals and the joyous atmosphere that surrounded her whenever she played her favorite tunes. Her ability to bring people together was a true testament to her character; it was never a dull moment in her presence. Mayra also cherished her time spent outdoors, tending to her plants, and enjoying the serenity of her front patio.

In pursuit of her personal growth, Mayra completed her GED and took English classes, showcasing her dedication to education. She later obtained a phlebotomy certificate, further demonstrating her commitment to her work in the healthcare field.

Mayra’s strong faith in God and Jesus Christ played a pivotal role in her life. She found fellowship and support through her participation in AA groups in Austin, where she not only gained strength but also built lasting bonds with fellow members. Her spiritual journey was a source of comfort and guidance to her throughout her life.

Mayra Elizabeth Ramirez is survived by her beloved husband, José, her sons Brian and Hassan, and her daughter-in-law, Melissa. Her cherished grandchildren include Luvena, Anthony, Michael, Max, Emma, Oliva, Abri, Xianna, Monolo, Arianna, Yoselin, as well as great-grandchildren Sevgi and Steven. Additionally, she leaves behind her sister, Estella and numerous nieces and nephews, and a vast network of family and friends both in Austin, New York and Guatemala.

Mayra is preceded in death by her mother, Narcisa Peril Tota, her brother Byron Munoz, her sons Jose Giancarlo Moreno Ramirez and Fernando Ramirez, Abdu Saleh along with her grandson, Yancarlos Alexander Diaz. Their memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Mayra’s warm heart, joyful spirit, and unwavering love will be deeply missed, but her influence will continue to inspire everyone whose lives she touched. Her family and friends find solace in the treasured memories they created together, filled with laughter, music, and shared meals.

Visitation will be held on September 17, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, located at 2079 Highway 71 East, Bastrop, TX 78602. The funeral service will take place the following day, September 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Mayra Elizabeth Ramírez, nacida el 17 de julio de 1963 en Guatemala, fue una mujer extraordinaria cuya vida estuvo dedicada a su familia, su fe y su comunidad. Falleció pacíficamente el 10 de septiembre de 2025 en Dale, Texas, dejando un legado de amor y fortaleza que será atesorado por todos los que la conocieron.

Durante más de una década, Mayra dejó una profunda huella en el campo de la salud, trabajando como asistente de alimentos y nutrición en el Hospital Seton antes de convertirse en CNA en Brodie Ranch Rehabilitation Center. La fe de Mayra en Dios y en Jesucristo jugó un papel fundamental en su vida. Encontró apoyo y fortaleza a través de su participación en grupos de AA en Austin, donde no solo halló ánimo espiritual, sino que también construyó lazos duraderos con otros miembros. Su camino espiritual fue una fuente de consuelo y guía a lo largo de su vida.

Mayra Elizabeth Ramírez deja en vida a su amado esposo, José; a sus hijos, Brian y Hassan; y a su nuera, Melissa. Sus queridos nietos incluyen a Luvena, Anthony, Michael, Max, Emma, Oliva, Abri, Xianna, Monolo, Arianna y Yoselin, así como a sus bisnietos Sevgi y Steven. Además, le sobrevive su hermana, Estella, junto con numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas, y una amplia red de familiares y amigos en Austin, Nueva York y Guatemala.

Mayra fue precedida en muerte por su madre, Narcisa Peril Tota;  su hermano, Byron Muñoz; sus hijos, José Giancarlo Moreno Ramírez y Fernando Ramírez, Abdu Saleh; junto con su nieto, Yancarlos Alexander Díaz. Sus recuerdos vivirán para siempre en los corazones de quienes la amaron.

La velación se llevará a cabo el 17 de septiembre de 2025, de 4:00 PM a 8:00 PM, en Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, ubicada en 2079 Highway 71 East, Bastrop, TX 78602. El servicio fúnebre tendrá lugar al día siguiente, 18 de septiembre de 2025, a las 10:00 AM en la misma ubicación.
