With deep grief, we announce the passing of Pete V. Luna of Smithville, Texas on July 5, 2025. Pete was born in Austin, Texas on February 24, 1962, to Ernest Valencia Luna and Delia Trigo Nalder.
Pete had an enormous love for family. His smile infectious, dance moves like no one was watching and a smile that touched everyone around him. His work ethic strong and was considered a "jack of all trades". Pete would always look in the mirror and say, "I'm not good looking, but I'm looking good."

He was survived by his four sons, Pete (Guadalupe) Luna Jr, Albert Luna, Yemalla (Brenda) Luna, Carlos (Christine) Luna; his two sisters, Annette Lopez and husband David Narvaez, Susan (Walter) Kimble; his grandchildren, Pete Luna III, Marcus, Aubree, Gionni, Abigail, Tori, Daniel, Carlos Jr, Issac, Eric, Valen and one great grandchild, Zyon Luna.
