With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Sharon Sue Cowan Schmidt, age 68, of Cedar Creek, Texas, on April 1, 2026. Sharon was born in Wiltshire, England to Donnie and Almerie Cowan on June 21, 1957.
A visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. Her funeral service will take place on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 beginning at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest following a luncheon at Preece Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
