Uvaldo Ramos, a cherished father, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, in Austin, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 22, 1963, in Brownsville, Texas, Uvaldo dedicated much of his life to serving both his community and his country.

He honorably served in the United States Army from 1982 to 1986, a testament to his commitment to duty and service. After his military career, Uvaldo found a rewarding vocation in customer service at Builders First Source, where he was well-regarded for his dedication and attention to detail. Uvaldo enjoyed being with his family and was a fan of the UT Longhorns, even owing a car donning the famed burnt orange.

Uvaldo is lovingly remembered by his three daughters, Clarissa, Isabel, and Natalya Ramos, who brought him immense joy and pride. He was the beloved son of Rita Alvarez, and is survived by his siblings: Alfredo Ramos, Jr., Reynaldo Ramos, Luis Ramos, Guadalupe Lopez, and Margarita Ramos. They, too, will hold his memory close and honor his legacy in their lives.

Preceding him in death was his father, Alfredo L. Ramos, Sr., whose memory will join Uvaldo’s in the hearts of those who knew them.

To honor Uvaldo's remarkable life and contributions, a visitation will be held on August 13, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. On August 14, viewing will commence at 10:00 AM at Ascension Catholic Church, leading into a Mass at 11:00 AM, concluding with his final rest at Fairview Cemetery.

As we reflect upon Uvaldo's journey, let us remember him as a man of courage, love, and unwavering support for those fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will forever inspire us to live with purpose and compassion, just as he did.



Uvaldo Ramos, querido padre, hijo, hermano y amigo, falleció en paz el 6 de agosto de 2025 en Austin, Texas, rodeado de su querida familia. Nacido el 22 de octubre de 1963 en Brownsville, Texas, Uvaldo dedicó gran parte de su vida a servir a su comunidad y a su país.

Sirvió con honor en el Ejército de los Estados Unidos de 1982 a 1986, testimonio de su compromiso con el deber y el servicio. Tras su carrera militar, Uvaldo encontró una gratificante vocación en el servicio al cliente en Builders First Source, donde fue reconocido por su dedicación y atención al detalle. Uvaldo disfrutaba estar con su familia y era fanático de los UT Longhorns, incluso tenía un auto del famoso color naranja quemado.

Uvaldo es recordado con cariño por sus tres hijas, Clarissa, Isabel y Natalya Ramos, quienes le brindaron una inmensa alegría y orgullo. Fue el amado hijo de Rita Álvarez, y le sobreviven sus hermanos: Alfredo Ramos, Jr., Reynaldo Ramos, Luis Ramos, Guadalupe López y Margarita Ramos. Ellos también guardarán un recuerdo cercano y honrarán su legado en vida.

Le precedió en la muerte su padre, Alfredo L. Ramos, Sr., cuyo recuerdo acompañará al de Uvaldo en el corazón de quienes lo conocieron.

Para honrar la notable vida y las contribuciones de Uvaldo, se realizará un velatorio el 13 de agosto de 2025, de 15:00 a 20:00 h, en la Funeraria Bastrop Providence, con un rosario a las 19:00 h. El 14 de agosto, el velatorio comenzará a las 10:00 h en la Iglesia Católica de la Ascensión, dará paso a una misa a las 11:00 h y concluirá con su descanso final en el Cementerio Fairview.
