Our Story
Bastrop Providence Funeral Home was conceived from a vision of local and surrounding area residents who desired the old-fashioned, personal service given to families during their time of need. Construction, in southeastern Bastrop, began in the summer of 2009. The 14,000 square foot facility offers a chapel that seats 250 with an additional family seating area and two staterooms, all equipped with a state-of-the-art music and video system. There is adequate parking for 100 vehicles, and a casket selection offering many different styles and colors. Our doors were opened for business on January 12, 2010. An Open House was held on March 17, 2010. Bastrop Providence Funeral Home investors and staff welcomed and conducted tours of the new facility for numerous area residents and local dignitaries. Community involvement is only one goal Bastrop Providence Funeral Home strives to achieve. Our staff greets families and friends at the door with compassion and concern and often offers the time to just listen. Being part of the community, we serve our families and friends in times of sorrow and grief, and dedicate ourselves to making each individual service unique and personalized.
Personal service and attention to the details, along with competitive prices, are what families receive at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. All types of funeral arrangements are available, including traditional funerals, direct cremation, memorial services, pre-paid funeral plans, and granite memorials. We counsel with those who desire to plan ahead. Together, services and merchandise are selected, relieving loved ones of the burden and stress of making those difficult decisions after death has occurred. Planning ahead also assures a family that most funeral costs will be "frozen": never to be affected by future price increases. We welcome any inquiries one may have about funeral planning or any of our other services.
